The significant incendent that happened there was that Robert E. Lee defies military convention to defeat the Union at Chancellorville. The terms for surrender at Appomattox were that the confederacy soldiers will be able to return to his home.

The union had less men then the south.
The Union general offered generous terms, allowing Lees solders to go home and take the horses with them.

Lee's risky decision to divide his army in the presence of a much larger enemy force resulted in a significant Confederate victory. Grant's terms were that Union troops were to be released and Confederate arms and supplies were to be given as captured property.

The loss of Stonewall Jackson, who was wounded by his own troops on the evening of May 2, 1863 and would die May 10, 1863. This tragic mistake by battle weary troops cost the Confederates dearly.Rolls of all the officers and men to be made in duplicate, one copy to be given to an officer to be designated by me, the other to be retained by such officer or officers as you may designate. The officers to give their individual paroles not to take up arms against the government of the United States until properly exchanged and each company or regimental commander to sign a like parole for the men of their commands. The arms, artillery, and public property to be parked and stacked, and turned over to the officers appointed by me to receive them. This will not embrace the side-arms of the officers nor their private horses or baggage. This done, each officer and man will be allowed to return to his home, not to be disturbed by United States authority so long as they observe their paroles and the laws in force where they may reside.

The significant incident that happened a Chancellorsville Jackson's army decides to spit up his troop which has never been done but back fired with friendly fire.Even thou they won victory was bitter. The terms of the surrender at Appomattox had came to agreement to stop the war because of huge amount of lost of men and lack of supplies.

the significant incident that had happen at Chancellorsville was that General Lee seperated his army and planned to attack the confederates from three different sides but the planned failed due to misunderstanding in arrival time. But the only choice General Lee had was to surrender and meet up with General Grant who in which he has been fighting with for years.

The military defeat the union at chancellorsville. Appomattox surrenders because of many deaths and because they were losing the battle.

The significant that happened at chancellorsville was that the battle was a ''stone wall '' and Andrew Jackson was injured and died later on. The terms of surrender under the Appomattox was that Robert E. Lee realized that he had to surrender under general Grant. They agreed to meet afterwards on April 9, 1865.

Jenna Ahr said...

What happened in Chancellorsville was Robert E. Lee did the one thing that you are never supposed to do, he split his army. Which led the confederates to a victory. The terms of the surrender at Appomattox were generous and manifest.

Lee and Jackson conceived one of the boldest plans of the war. Jackson, with 30,000 Confederates, would follow a circuitous route to the Union right and from there conduct an attack on that exposed flank.

They have to give their individual paroles not to take up arms against the government. This done, each officer and man will be allowed to return to his home, not to be disturbed by United States authority so long as they observe their paroles and the laws in force where they may reside.
