Political cartoons are cartoons printed in a newspaper that carry a message (usually a non-verbal message) that makes a statement about current events. Find a political cartoon from the 1850s or 1860s and paste the link into your response, then answer the following questions:
1. Who wrote this cartoon and where (in what newspaper) did it first appear?
2. What is the message you think it shows?
3. Why do you think people felt this way?

President John F. Kennedy gave stirring speeches proposing initiatives of the New Frontier, among them a payroll plan for aid to the elderly that later became Medicare and proposals to remedy civil rights problems. But even his own congressional leaders didn't seem completely saddled up for the New Frontier. And "anti-administration" Democrats joined with Republicans in a coalition that resisted his programs and proposals.

this was posted in the Wasington Post on July 18,1962.I think it shows people trying to deny his offers and they are saying that lets see how long he'll go without backing down.I think people felt this way because maybe he was making promises that he couldn't fufill.
