The British were right in trying to keep control of the colonists because they did not want to start conflict with other native American tribes.
The British were right in trying to keep control in the colonies with various acts and taxes because the government was in debt from the French and Indian War, that the colonist started.The government was low on guns, bullets, and other things like that, so they taxed the colonist on pretty much everything.
The British was right because they didn't want the colonies to have conflict with the indians. The acts that were passed was to prevent the colonist to move west where the Indians live.
