housleyc said...

the proclamation of 1763 was made because the king was in debt because of the french and indian war and so he made this law to tell the colonist to not go into the native american territory because if they did that would start a war or a fight then the king would have to send troops to help the colonist and the king at this time could not afford to help because he was already in debt.

Mikayla K. said...

He used it, so when the colonists wanted to move west on to t he indians land they couldnt. He knew that the indians would get mad, so he made that line. If the indians got mad than they would start a war which would cost him money.

ronald b said...

because they want to prevent a war with the indains

Terrell.d said...

the british kept moving towards the indians land so if they kept doing that they would start a war .

Mikayla K said...

The King knew that the colonists wanted to move west. He said no colonists could cross over the Appalachian Mountains because that's where the Indians lived. If they did, then the Indians would get mad and a war would break out. If a war broke out it would cost the King money and put him into even more debt. He created the Proclamation Line of 1763.
