The British soilders were responsible. It was not their responsibility because the colonists kept attacking them,

the redcoats were responsible for the boston massacre, although it really wasnt there responsibility it was the colonist fault they were fighting and hurting the red coats so they shot the colonist.

kyle b. said...

it was the colonists fault becouse they were hitting them and it was the britishs fault .

Brielle W said...

The British soliders were responsible, but it wasn't really their fault because the colonists were yelling out fire and throwing things at them.

Derrick C said...

The british was responsible for the Boston Massacre because they came with there guns loaded even though the captain said not to. It really is there fault because there very stupid not to obey the captain and if they would there wouldn't have the "Boston Massacre." I mean yea the colonist did throw stuff at them but they still shouldn't have shot even if they heard fire and it wouldn't have happened if they came with there guns un loaded

The British because they fired their guns. But it really wasnt their fault because the colonists were throwing things at them and they were just defending themselves. I would have threatened to pull th trigger, but I don't think I would've actually shot the gun.

Leigha s. said...

No, the red coats weren't responsible for the 5 deaths because the red coats that that the king said fire. But, they did pull the trigger but the crowd was not insistent. The crowd had things to hurt the red coats.

Brian.R said...

It was the redcoats fault because they fired at the colonist. But it was kind of the colonists fault because the colonists made the redcoats feel threaten.

hanavank said...

it was the red coats that killed the 5 men. the colonis had a part in this to. the britsh killed them but the colonis waked a man with a club. if i was that man i would of done the same thing. i would of pulled the triger to.

Jason H said...

I think it was both the colonist, and the British soldiers because the colonist were hitting them and throwing stuff at them, and the soldiers were just taking it. But the British soldiers also shouldn't of had there guns loaded. I think it was mostly the British fault because they pulled the trigger but i would of done the same thing if i was in there shoes. So really neither the colonist or British soldiers are innocent.

Housleyc said...

The red coats pulled the trigger but it was not a innocent crowed they were firing at because the colonist attacked the red coats first

Kenedy S. said...

The redcoats killed the five people, but it wasn't completely their fault. The colonists were the one who harassed the Redcoats, and they deserved what they got. The redcoats were just defending themselves and they thought they were told to fire, but overall , it's the colonists fault.

Emily P. said...

The British were responsible for the 5 deaths in Boston, but it truly wasn't their fault because all the colonists were hitting them with snowballs, clubs, etc. and they thought they heard the word "fire" and so they did. But it wasn't who wouldn't blame the British for firing? I would if I was getting hit with all those things and being knocked to the ground and being called rude things in my face just because the King put out a tax on Tea.

Hope R. said...

Actually, the British pulled the trigger and killed them, but it wasn't their fault. The colonist abused the British, and the man didn't mean to start the so called "massacre". The British might have pulled the trigger, but the colonist lead them to do it. Basically, they didn't fire into an innocent crowd, like the newspaper said that they had.

Marchael cain said...

The people were because they started it . They were asking for it because they were throwing stuff at them and they kept saying fire and they said they were scared to shoot. Also they hit one of them in the head 1 of them good of died. All I'm trying to say is if I was one of them I would Shoot to simple as that.

Brittany B said...

The colonist but I would have done the same thing and they are not 100% guilty.

Cayla H. said...

It was the soldiers. It was not there responsibility it was the colonists they had came to some guy house and the soldiers came but they was not supposed to have their guns loaded and wasnt supposed to fire until they were told to.So the colonists were shouting things out and throwing things and because of them throwing things someone hit an soldier with an club and that caused the soldier then the other soldiers to fire.

erika c. said...

The red coats were really responsible for the death because they technique shoot them. The red coat were just defending them self from the colonist because the colonist had yellow snowballs, wooden clubs, and flaming poop. So the colonist were no innocent ether.

Howard W said...

It was the the solders responsible but the coloniest was the reason why because they made them shoot because they did not want to be tax any more when the solders fire in the angry crowd they shoot only five people and three died on contact and the other two died later on so it was the coloniest responsible

Brianna N. said...

The British Red-Coats were responsible for the 5 deaths. This is not all their fault. The colonists were upset and were throwing things. One of the British soldiers got hit with a club in the arm and fired. The rest followed and shot 5 people and killed 4 ( the other person died the next day ) but if they would've listened to the general and went without their guns loaded no one would have died.

jaredh said...

the british pulled the trigger but both the mob and british soldier are not innocent but the british soldiers who fired killing 5 of those hundreds of angry citizens were charged with man slaughter so both the british army of 14 soldiers and the furious, outraging, chaotic crowd were both responsible for the so called and i quote''massacre''on march during the 1960's

jake l said...

It was the British solders was responsible for the five deaths. It was their responsibility because the solders should of just walked away so they would not get hurt and so they would not be charged with man slotter.

Noah W said...

It was the citizen's falt for the boston massacre because the were using weapons(clubs, bricks, sticks)against the soilders before the soilders shot anyone

Dylan me Hal said...

It was the soldier who shot first....it was somewhat their responsibility. The captain said not to load any guns but the soldiers did...... I understand where the soldiers are coming from they did not want to get hurt if stuff got out of control.

daren d said...

it was the citizens fault because they went up to the soldiers and tried to attack them and when the redcoats shot at them and the news papers came the next morning the redcoats looked like bad guys when it really was the citizens.

Daivon Riley said...

I think that it was really the british fault
Becuase they probably (soldiers) would have never fired if they were'nt throwing and hitting them with stuff

Brandon M. said...

It was the citizens fault because they were throwing rocks, hitting them with clubs. And one of the citizens hit one of the soldiers with a club. So the soldier got back up and shot the person who hit him. Then the other soldiers starting shooting.

Brittany W. said...

It was the British reponsoniblty for the 5 deaths because they took fire to the colonists first when the colonist didn't have anything to protect themselves with.

Ethan b said...

it was the citizens who were responsible because they attacked the soldiers.

Andrew R said...

British soldiers were responsible for the killings of 5 people at the Boston Massacre. It wasn't there fault because citizens were throwing clubs, rocks, snowballs, and other stuff at the soldiers. If I were one of the soldiers I would have shot my gun to. this is why it is the citizens fault for the Boston Massacre.

Cameron L. said...

The people who were responsible are the red coats which are known to be the British soldiers. It wasn't the British fault for killing the 5 colonists because they kept throwing rocks at them and and also swinging clubs. Therefore it was the colonists fault for doing the things they did to the soldiers.

Kaci p said...

It was partially the kings fault for sending so many soldiers to the colonists, the soldiers took most of the low paying jobs for the people because they needed the money to buy their own goods, this enraged the colonists and they soon began to share their own insults with each other.

rileys said...

England was responsible for the 5 deaths at the Boston Massacre. It was not there responsibility because the French attacked first so they fired and it made the England look like the bad people because they had guns and the French had rocks. So the french didnt have good enough weapons, making the England see like there killing inecient people.

Shelby R. said...

Captain Thomas Preston and his men was charged with the murder. It saw there fault because it was his men that killed the five people .

samone T said...

British Army soldiers killed five men and injured six others. British troops had been stationed in Boston, capital of the Province of Massachusetts Bay, since 1768 .

Kristianb said...

The citizin .no.the citizin were throwing rocks and hitting the British and the British were protecting thimself.

Michaela D said...

i think that the British Soldiers are guilty but at the same time so are the colonist. The colonist are guilty because they came at them and with weapons and other deadly things. The soldiers are guilty because they loaded their guns when they were ordered not to load their guns but they did and that left 5 people dead so in the big picture it was the British's fault of the Boston Massacre

Erik,M said...

Both parties were responsible when you think about it. The soldier who pulled the trigger to his gun most likely had a reason like a citizen hit him with a brick or something. The citizens are also to blame they were attacking the customs house to repeal the townshend act.

jake f said...

I believe the colonists were the people that started everything for what happened when they attacked the soldiers. However, the British were not supposed to have bullets in their guns, let alone firing them at people when ordered not to. So, in my belief, both sides have a reason to argue over who started it. But, The british were the group who started everything because there would be no reason for the colonists to be mad at them in the first place.

Shelby. E said...

It was both of their faults. Because the British and the Americans both wanted to steal back the tax money.

Corey S said...

No. The citizens started throwing stuff at them. The british had every right to fight back. But the british pulled the trigger. Still, the citizens started it.

curtis r said...

the responsible for the 5 deaths for the boston massacre are the british guards.no it was theres and the british guard and the british colonist too because the colonist been throwing things at the guards and they were calling name and tormenting the guards and all the guards were doing was protecting the customs house and some person got hit with a club and started to ire so they all fired.

Jacob h said...

The British soldier was responsible for the 5 deaths no was there responsibleity because the colonist throw stuff at them

Ronnell T said...

The Redcoats fired several shots that killed five colonists, because the crowd approached the redcoats. Its was the redcoats' fault because they fired the shots. And it could've been both the colonists and the redcoats' fault, because the colonists approached the redcoats.

Blayze S. said...

I would say it's the soldiers's but not the general fault that 5 people died during the "Boston Massacre" because the general said not to load your gun, but they did anyways dis-obeying orders. But then again it could be the rioters fault because they shouldn't have attacked the soldiers because if you think about I would've shot at them if they clubbed me in the face. but i guess it was both sides that take full responsibility for the 5 deaths cause all that could have been avoided if the soldiers didn't load their guns and if the rioters didn't club them in the face.

Dario said...

The red cots are responsible for five death of those people.wath happen actually was the people were mad and they did a riot and went to were the taxs are at and there were only one red cot and they called for back up .the generral told them to not rellode their gun but they still did so they went and stand there they heard a gun fire and they shot.

Diamond k said...

The redcoats were responisible for the five deaths in the Boston massacre. No it was both of theirs responsibility. Although the redcoats shot first they weren't the only ones doing something. The citizens were throwing items such as sticks, stones, shovels, clubs ect. As weapons ,so the citizens werent innocent people.

ronald b said...

the colonist were angry at the redcoats so they decided to get any weapon they could and attack the redcoats. the general was confused and the towns people dared them to fire. after one of the redcoats was down they fired and killed 5 people.it was there responsibility they were just trying to calm down the crowed.

Kiano r said...

The British , yes. the British army killed 5 civilian citizens. They fired into the crowd without Orders.

Jackson G said...

The red coats(british) were responsible for the five deaths at the Boston massacre.British responsibility are to protect the colonist.

The britsh were responsible for killing the 5 people in the boston massacre.

The red coats were they shot the colonist but they were attacked by the colonist using sticks , rocks , clubs , and snowballs . But my side belongs to the red coats...

stormy a said...

The Red coats were responsible for the 5 deaths at the Boston massacre. Not it was not because some kid that was a red coat thought he heard fire and it all went bad from there because all the red coats started shooting.
I choose the red coats side.

Rob said said...

The citizens. No it was not there responsibility because they were trying to kick them out of their house

Megan T said...

It was the colonists responsible for the 5 deaths during the Boston Massacre. It was the Colonists because they charged the armed soldiers and they were being reckless. If the colonists wouldn't of charged the soldiers and hit them and tried to fight them the 5 deaths wouldn't of happened. The colonists shouldn't of hit the soldiers or anything because the soldiers wouldn't of shot the colonists if they wouldn't of charged and hit them.

Courtney M. said...

It was the colonists fault. It was because they threw rocks and were yelling at the soldiers, and the soldiers thought they heard their boss say fire, but could have mistakened there boss saying not fire when it was really the colonists. I pick the soldiers side.

will m said...

it was the britsh soldiers fault because they thaut they heard captian preston say fire but he said DONT shoot so they shoot and killed 5 people

Asher k said...

who it was was the king of Boston no it was not. The French and Indian try to fight the Boston and try to take over and stuff like that.

Sokhonade c. said...

The colonist were responsible for the 5 deaths at the Boston massacre. They started the fight with the soldiers which led to some of them getting hurt.

Brieunna g said...

The colonist was really responsible for the 5 deaths cause the colonist were throwing thing at the solders and they were saying fire so, one the solder maybe thought they heard fire .So that solder did . And it was the solders responsibility that fired the bult

Tim S. said...

It's was the Kings fault. He said fire sothe soldiers fired there gun. It was the kings fault that he said fire.

Destiny W. said...

Well its mainly the colonists fault . its mainly there fault because they went to go to try to get there tax money back so the english guards blocked it off and all of the colonists were yelling fire ! so one of the british soldiers thought it was there captin so they all fired with 5 dead....it was the colonist fault for trying to get the money back and yelling but it was aso the soldiers fault for shooting at the colonist.

Frances R. said...

The redcoats was responsible for the 5 deaths. I am a British colonist and I was reading the newspaper and I saw that there was 5 people that were killed by redcoats.

Nadia K said...

The British army was responsible. They were responsible because they started the war.

Zane R. said...

No because they thought they heard "fire".

LeAnn J said...

I don't pick sides of course they didn't just came to play with toy weapons and role play :/

terrell.d said...

The british was responsible for the 5 deaths ,
Im on the british side because they heard someone on their side fired.its not their fault because they were in a fight so if they didnt fire then the citizens would kill them.so they were protecting themselves .

jasonr said...

the people who were responsible for the deaths on that horrific day were the colonists about a 100 or so were after the bank to get thier money back and one one of the guards felt helpless and called for backup and thier was about 16 against the 100 only 16% and the british were armed but the colonists were possibly throwing rocks and antaginising the british when they said bet yu wont fire and when a soldier heard fire he fired and then the next guy fired and so on and so forth and the colonists put more on of a threat and if i were a soldier and the honast truth i would of fired punched and killed in defence

zane chiasson said...

they didt mean to kill so its not their responsibility but the people in Boston were not following the laws

Chandler M said...

It was the colonists fault because when the red coats where trying to stop them from taking there money back they where getting hit a lot but the colonist where yelling come on fire and the red coats where not supposed to fire and one of the men heard fire and they did one after another they fired 5 people dead and more injured but at the same time they shouldnt have bullets in there gun.

Damian s said...

Yes because none of them had weapons exsept for the solders they did it for no reason they might have been throwing things but they didn't need to shoot

Nick T. said...

Ashley C. said...

It was sorta both of their fault. The Colonists kept throwing things at the British soilders. But one British solider fired so they all fired. The general told them not to load their guns but they did. The general also did not say fire. The picture Paul Revere drew was wrong.

I think the Red Coats were responsible for the 5 deaths because they weren't suppose to have their guns loaded in the first place. One of them mistakenly heard fire and shot his gun. They all began to fire killing 5 people and injuring others. The General did not say fire. They were not suppose to have their guns loaded either. They were just suppose to scare them.

Sam E said...

It was technically both their faults. The colonists were being rash, and bombarded the British in a fit of rage. The British mistakenly fired, in a frantic attempt to hold back the feverish colonists.
