Yes because none of them had weapons exsept for the solders they did it for no reason they might have been throwing things but they didn't need to shoot
The British Red-Coats were responsible for the 5 deaths. This is not all their fault. The colonists were upset and were throwing things. One of the British soldiers got hit with a club in the arm and fired. The rest followed and shot 5 people and killed 4 but if they would've listened to the general and went without their guns loaded no one would have died.

I think the Red Coats were responsible for the 5 deaths because they weren't suppose to have their guns loaded in the first place. One of them mistakenly heard fire and shot his gun. They all began to fire killing 5 people and injuring others. The General did not say fire. They were not suppose to have their guns loaded either. They were just suppose to scare them.
It was technically both their faults. The colonists were being rash, and bombarded the British in a fit of rage. The British mistakenly fired, in a frantic attempt to hold back the feverish colonists.
