the way Thomas Jefferson dressed reflected upon his smarts and his class it also helped him in a way because he was judged by the way he dressed and it helped him fit in more with the upper class men and it showed that he was very serious about his job and he cared about the people and wanted them to see that. He was a very smart man for that!!

If it was a person dressed completely unpresentable and was competing for the presidential run the people wouldn't vote for him.

Thomas Jefferson was a very simple man who believed in trust and maners. His speaches were not full of big words and fancy sayings like other polititions of the time. He was a hard nosed man who worked hard tordes his goals with a relentles determanation. This is how his dress reflects his politics
