Chapter 9 Section 4 Opener

While President Madison awarded peace medals to Native Americans who supported the United States against the British, Congressional War Hawks could be heard singing: "Ye Parliament of England, ye lords and commons, too/Consider well what you're about, And what you're goin' to do; /You're now at war with Yankees, And I'm sure you'll rue the day, Ye roused the sons of liberty in North Americay." What does this mean?

To me this means that the british will regret going to war with the USA, because they already beat them once and now they are stronger.

What I think the song means is with all the things the president Madison like giving medals to native Americans that supported them made them feel that natives would join just because they get a medal or good opportunities.

I think that this song is telling what happened in Parliament, and how the War Hawks went to war and got liberty in North America. I also think it means that Madison gave the War Hawks metals for the brave thing they did, as young people that went to war.
