They invented the gas- powered street light in 1809. Their use was for seeing in the darkest night. It improved our advances in creating more useful lights.http://www.inventionspatents.com/Artcles18-timeline2.htm
the way we send messages. they use to send them with a bird or message in a bottle. but now we have text messaging, email, social networks, and calling so theres no need for birds and messages in a bottle.
During the Industrial Revolution, steam power began to replace water power and muscle power (which often came from horses) as the primary source of power in use in industry. Its first use was to pump water from mines. The early steam engines were not very efficient, but a double-acting rotative version created by James Watt gave engines the power to become a driving force behind the Industrial Revolution.
http://www.enchantedlearning.com/inventors/1800a.shtml In the early 1800s, one technology that was invented, that helped increase productivity was the mechanical reaper. This new machine combined many of the steps involved in harvesting crops, greatly increased crop yields, decreased the number of field hands needed for the harvest, lowered costs, and revolutionized farming. This was huge for all of the people that were farmers at this time. The inventor was Cyrus Hall McCormick, he was an American inventor. His idea was patented in 1834.
a new invention that was made to help make more product are plows cause before they didn't really get anywhere when it came to picking stuff that farmers had famed and the bigger materials had came like the plows and it had worked faster. also another thing that ha came was factors and people would use factories so they could get stuff together faster.
One new technology in manufacturing that improved productivity in the U.S in the early 1800's is the printing press. It was made in 1810 and helped us make a lot of something having to do with paper. This technology helped us make a lot of books, newspapers and anything else dealing with paper and it would be made into many.
they made machines power driving. made machines for clothes steam engines. it was improved by people want to either use it or by ithttp://history-world.org/Industrial%20Intro.htm
The printing press was invented in the Holy Roman Empire by the German Johannes Gutenberg in around 1440, based on existing screw presses. Gutenberg, a goldsmith by profession, developed a complete printing system, which perfected the printing process through all of its stages by adapting existing technologies to printing purposes, as well as making groundbreaking inventions of his own. His newly devised hand mould made for the first time possible the precise and rapid creation of metal movable type in large quantities, a key element in the profitability of the whole printing enterprise.
The industrial Revolution occurred in the 1800. People used machines to make stuff like cloth. They used steam engines to run the machines, so the machines could make the items the people needed. This improved productivity by allowing people to increase the number of items they could make by a lot. The Industrial Revolution spread from Great Britain to all of Europe to the United States.
one manifactoring is the steam boat it was made in the early 1800's in 1812 it improved lots of ideas like the boat or cruise or ships that people today sail on or travel around the world in or some people use them as transportation to transport objects around the world. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=inventions+made+in+1800s&source=web&cd=4&ved=0CEEQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fhassam.hubpages.com%2Fhub%2FFamous-Inventions-Of-The-1800s&ei=2Fg6T7GQL8yhtwechYXdCg&usg=AFQjCNFWgvfEPDLE2rtVE50TBjBbOhuuiQ
One new technology in manufacturing that improved productivity in the United States is railroads. The railroads opened up remote areas and moved men and materials places. It Improved productivity because then you bring and ship things on the train.
Some new technology used to manufactor was transportation. The period between the end of the War of 1812 and the Civil War was a time of swift improvement in transportation, rapid growth of factories, and significant development of new technology to the factories.
The telegraph operator improved productivity. The telegraph operator allowed people to messages to each other. The telegraph operator got more worldwide and it improved a lot of the years.
One new technology in the industrial revolution was the power loom, a more efficient way of spinning cotton. This improved productivity because instead of being spun by hand they had a machine to do that for them.
In the 1800's we had our very first battery in the United States. How this product improved productivity is it help steam boats to run and made faster trade. This also charged electric chairs.

Technology that came better than from early years was a telephone. There telephone were old fashioned.Telephones back then were a far cry from the tiny, cordless handhelds we have today. They started out as nothing more than a piece of tubing attached on one end to a desk, and on the other to a mouthpiece.Today they are cordless and can go 20 feet without hanging up.
One item that increased productivity is the cotton spinning mill that allowed people to increase the amount of cotton made good and stuff because now they can make cotton into strings in the fraction of the time that it took do it be hand
The advanced printing press in the 1800's helped mass produce any document at the time. The continuos rolls and steam power press made all printing go much faster.
In the 1800's people used candles and oil lamps to light their homes, since they had no electricity. They cooked food in large cast iron pots.People used a washboard called the scrub board and would hang their clothes up to dry them on a clothing line. The invention of useable electricity, steel, and petroleum products during the 19th century lead to a second industrial revolution (1865–1900), that featured the growth of railways and steam ships, faster and wider means of communication, and inventions with names we all know today.
The soda fountain was a thing that would dispense carbonated drinks for people at local bars and homes. Link:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soda_fountain
One new technology in manufacturing that has improved productivity is wireless network growth. It helps by not using cord phones and its much cheaper to use and you don't have to pay as much as you do with cord phones.http://www.manufacturingnews.com/
Sewing Machine was Iinveted in the industrial revolution and increased the production of clothing ad fixed tears in them. It made more clothesfor people to wear.
In 1827 John Walker invented the first friction match. This helped America by being able to start fire in just a split second. People from other countries began wanting this invention because it was so helpful to households for stoves and ovens.people were very excited about the match and couldn't get one fast enough.
One invention is the sewing machine. The sewing mechine helped because before they had to do it by hand and it was vary time consuming. They were also very expensive so it took a while for people to get these sewing mechine.http://www.ideafinder.com/history/inventions/sewmachine.htm
sewing machines where one tecnology that make manufactory make money in the 1800 because it made it easy to sew thing easy for people plus it made the industy better.and it improved because it was fast.
the telephone was created in the late 1800s here were you can red about it http://dtsdapache.hershey.k12.pa.us/wpmu/hs_htclub/2009/01/30/1800s-telephone/
The commercial Steamboat improved productivity because it made a journey across the oceans that would normally take 5 weeks made it take 18 days making trade become faster causing productivity to speed up.
Productivity improving technologies date back to antiquity, with rather slow progress until the late Middle Ages.Books on science and technology eventually began to appear, such as the mining technical manual De Re Metallica.Mining and metal refining technologies played a key role in technological progress. Much of our understanding of fundamental chemistry evolved from ore smelting and refining, with De Re Metallica being the leading chemistry text for 180 years. Railroads evolved from mine carts and the first steam engines were designed specifically for pumping water from mines. i found this information on wikipedia!!
Sam Colt was an inventor and a businessman in the 1800s.First, he designed a new type of gun, called a revolver. It could fire many shots without being reloaded. Then, in 1855, he built a factory to produce the weapons. This factory's machines made most of the interchangeable parts needed for each gun. Each part was made exactly the same as the others of it's type.Everything fit together quickly and well. By 1856, Sam Colt's factory was making 150 guns per day.
That Is What I Found On New Technology That Improved Productivity In The 1800s.
One invention from the 1800s is buggies since cars where not made yet people got around by a horse pulling a carriage the buggies where very transportational they could go on boats and cars and even trains.http://www.northwesthistoryexpress.com/timeline/transportation1800.php
dynamite was invented to help miners dig faster to reach gold and iron to make other objects. dynamite was invented by alfred bernhard nobel(1833-1896) dynamite was predominately used for quarrying and mining. ttp://www.angelfire.com/rebellion2/inventions1800/dynamite.htm/
The invention of useable electricity, steel, and petroleum products during the 19th century lead to a second industrial revolution (1865–1900), that featured the growth of railways and steam ships, faster and wider means of communication, and inventions with names we all know today.
one thing is the printing press by Johannes Gutenberg it made life easier because before he invented the printing press in 1440, books had to be copied by hand. This was a slow, painstaking process that could take more than a year for each book, and the people copying them often made mistakes. Very few books were published, and they were available only to monks and scholars. communication.ucsd.edu/bjones/Books/printech.html
The first arc lamp was made in 1815. This invention was made by humphry davy. This improved the capability if seeing in the army and in homes all around. Most people used candles but they would burn out quickly. They were simple to make and easy lighting. The chemical reaction could make them dimmer and brighter.
In the early 1800s they used kerosene lamps. Instead of this they wanted to use oil. When they found oil they tried and used it for more. They found they could use it for cars. This discovery improved transportation. It made it much easier and faster when shipping things and going places. http://teachersites.schoolworld.com/webpages/TBurke1/files/20.1%20The%20Growth%20of%20Industry.pdf
After 1800, cotton became the chief crop in southern plantations, and the chief American export. After 1840, industrialization and urbanization opened up lucrative domestic markets. The number of farms grew from 1.4 million in 1850, to 4.0 million in 1880, and 6.4 million in 1910; then started to fall, dropping to 5.6 million in 1950 and 2.2 million in 2008. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_agriculture_in_the_United_States
The cotton mill improved productly in the united states. The cotton mill is A a factory that houses spinning and weaving machinery. The mechanisation of the spinning process, were instrumental in the growth of the machine tool industry. The mill made women able to get independent income from working on it. Also the mill created additional employment.
http://www.angelfire.com/rebellion2/inventions1800/typewriter.gif Typewriter in 1867 by Christopher Latham Sholes. The type writer was an early computer but very different from our computer now. the type writer couldn't delete if you mess up you have to start over now our computer you can delete.
The rubberband was made in the 1800's.It improved productivly because a whole pack is like $3.00.You can use rubberbands to tie up your hair seal certain things.
One technology that helped improved America back then;I think is the COTTON GIN. The Cotton gin helped improve because It helped separating cotton better faster and easier. All you had to do was turn a crank. You put the cotton Into the top of the machine. Inside there was a metal roller with spikes on it. The spikes would roll over and through the cotton. They then go through another crate where the cotton seeds cannot pass through. And then the cotton comes out through the other side. wardrobeadvice/how-the-cotton-gin-works/
one of my discovery was that the telephone was made in the 1800's.It made people faster, better, and easier because it help them find answer, talk to people across the world.
The seed planter has helped people be able to plant faster and more crops. Instead of digging the holes with there hands they dug some metal in the ground and just place a seed in the hole and start planting things easy.
The website to go to to see the image is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/seed drill
One new technology that improved productivity in the United States in the early 1800's was a lawn mower. This improved productivity because using the lawn mower was much faster and cut more grass more efficiently in less time and saved day light.
The metal can was invented in 1810 by Peter Durand. It was mass produced because it was a way to preserve food for a long time! It was shaped like a cylinder.
In 1909 Humphry Davy invinted the first electric light, otherwise known as the first arc lamp. This helped improve productivity because it helped people see at night time instead of being in the dark and not able to see. http://inventors.about.com/od/timelines/a/Nineteenth.htm
Why the national industrial productivity rose is because england had been growing in industrial might but england worked hard to keep this technology from lowering down Why did national industrial productivity rise in the late 1800s ... www.enotes.com thats the website where i got my information from
One example of new technology in the 1800's are cotton spinning using machines like a Spinning Mule. it helped by making it easier to make clothing and fabrics to sell and trade. It also helped people make clothing and fabrics faster so if a fabric was high in demand, they would be able to sell more fabric faster and make more money.
The new technology was factory production. It improved productivity because work would be done easier and also faster.http://www.google.com/search?q=what+technology+improved+productivity+in+the+united+states+during+the+1800s&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari&safe=active#pq=what+technology+improved+productivity+in+the+united+states+during+the+1800s&hl=en&cp=5&gs_id=o&xhr=t&q=industrial+revolution&pf=p&sclient=tablet-gws&safe=active&client=safari&tbo=d&source=hp&pbx=1&oq=indus&aq=0&aqi=g3&aql=&gs_sm=&gs_upl=&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=462f4bd2d3cf14a7&biw=1024&bih=672
Samuel Morse created the telegraph in 1836. This was very helpful because it was a new and creative way to send messages. This would help lead into the modern day post office system. The telegraph was a non-electric way to send messages back and forth between one another.
The electromagnet was made in 1825. It improved productivity by starting electronic communication and it helped create more technology for people to buy and use.
http://hassam.hubpages.com/hub/Famous-Inventions-Of-The-1800s.. The lawn mower was a invention made in 1830 by a english engineer named Edward beard budding. The original lawn mower was a cylinder with blades in the middle that spun and cut the grass as u pushed it. This could help increase production rate. The more of the law mowers made the more people will buy them, and the more people that buy them the more money the workers may make.
Sewing Machine in 1830 by Barthelemy Thimonnier it improved productivity by being able to sew your clothes and oyher belongings with thread. It was invented in the first Industrial Revolution
A new techonolgy that helped the productivity of the United States in the 1800s was the invention of the sewing machine. Before this was invented, articles of clothings were made by hand with thread and needle. It took much less time to sew clothings than it was by hand. So it craeted a mass prodution of clothings compared to doing it by hand.
One invention made during the 1800-1850 was the Incandescent Light bulb. Made in 1809 by Humphry Davy, an English chemist. Davy connected 2 wires to a battery and attached a charcoal strip between the other ends of the wires. The charged carbon glowed making the first Arc Lamp. It had a huge affect on how people use light. Before they would have to use a lamp with fire, that could catch your house on fire or would burn out. But with the light bulb it's not much of a worry. http://inventors.about.com/library/inventors/bllight2.htm
During the industrial revolution transportation skyrocketed to new measurements in society. In 1801 Ritchard Trevithick invented the first steamed power locomotives. Before this the closest things to trains were horse drawn cariges. With the invention of the steam powered locomotive raw goods were able to travel alot farther and faster than horse drawn cariges could ever go. Also the roads also slowed down the cariges but the new rail road didn't slow the locomotive down at all. This allowed all types of goos to be shipped throughout the u.s. in an expanding time. They also took passengers farther west than carriages and walking could take somebody. This allowed for the us to expand westward and in my opinion the best thing that came from the industrial revolution. http://history-world.org/Industrial%20Intro.
In 1829 W.A Burt invents the typewriter. This would help bisnusse by being able to type up a sign to premote stuff. In 1836 Samuel Colt invents the first revolver. This helps people to protect themself. In 1837 Samuel Mores invents the telegraph then a year later the Mores code. This help bisnusse by the diffrent stores being able to communicate by telling prices and how many of a certain object they have made.
in 1830 Barthelemy Thimonnier invented the sewing machine. The sewing machine would alp mass produce clothing by instead of having to hand knit everything the sewing machine would do it faster. This invention did help improve productivity by making clothing at a quiker rate.
In 1810, Peter Durand created a can. The can, also called 'tins' could preserve food for a long time. The only way a person could open a can was to use a hammer and chisel; the can opener wasn't created until another 50 years. Lawn mowers, safety pins, and rubber bands, were all created between the years 1800 and 1850. These things improved productivity by making tasks easier, and more accomplishable. Since they helped make things easier to do, peopled wanted to use them.
Machine tools improved productivity because they would mass produce steel or metal parts needed. They could produce parts alot easier and faster than by hand. Theses machines became more common. Before these machine tools, making some items would be expensive. The use of metal or steel would be kept to a minimum and factories would mostly use wood.
The sewing machine help improve productivity in the United Stats in the early part of 1800s.It was made in 1846 by Ellis howe. It made possible the mass production of clothing on a much larger scale than ever been possible with hand-stitching. http://www.ideafinder.com/history/inventions/sewmachine.htm
wait sorry read that wrong one thing that changed the united states manufacture is um i would have to say the computers why because without computers we would still have to be writing on paper and we would not be typing and all that good stuff
the invention was i 1829 W.A Burt invented the typewriter it improved productivity. Because a lot of people can buy it so a lot of people wont have to write messages to other people ,they can just type it.
One technology in manufacturing that improved productivity of US in the early part of the 1800s is the typewriter, invented by an American, W.A. Burt in 1829. It improved the productivity because office use it more and faster paperwork is made, among with other things.
An invention that changed the U.S. is the typewriter invented in 1829 by W.A. Burkley. This invention made to improve the way we write letters. This was able to cut down on the time it took to write a letter. We could write letters faster then send them faster.http://inventors.about.com/od/timelines/a/Nineteenth.htm
The Battle started on september 10 1813. What happend during the war was when the war broke out the British immediately seized control of Lake Erie. when both squadrons were in line for battle the Niagara was slow to come in to action and was far out from the battle line. The US won. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Lake_Erie
The New Orleans battle took place on January 8 1815. British army wanted to seize New Orleans and the vast territory the United stats had acquired with the Louisianna Purchase. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_New_Orleans
Tony Hubbard-in 1830 Barthelemy Thimonnier invented the sewing machine. The sewing machine would alp mass produce clothing by instead of having to hand knit everything the sewing machine would do it faster. This invention did help improve productivity by making clothing at a quiker rate.
During the Industrial Revolution there were alot of machinery items made. Manufacturing was usually done in peoples homes, the people that created them either made them by hand and using hand tools or basic machines. The sewing machine was created, the car, the assembly line, and the steam engine.
The most important of the changes that brought about the Industrial Revolution were the invention of machines to do the work of hand tools; the use of steam, and later of other kinds of power, in place of the muscles of human beings and of animals; and the adoption of the factory system. http://history-world.org/Industrial%20Intro.htm
Samuel moore created the telegraph this was a very useful invention because it helped more with communication it was a non electric way to message / communicate with people i got my imforamation from http://inventors.about.com/od/tstartinventions/a/telegraph.htm

the telephone was created in the late 1800s here were you can red about it http://dtsdapache.hershey.k12.pa.us/wpmu/hs_htclub/2009/01/30/1800s-telephone/
Also being able to make the match so eay be cause it was small. Also it increased productiVity by being able to cook faster.

Is where I'm Getting My Information:
Sam Colt was an inventor and a businessman in the 1800s.First, he designed a new type of gun, called a revolver. It could fire many shots without being reloaded. Then, in 1855, he built a factory to produce the weapons. This factory's machines made most of the interchangeable parts needed for each gun. Each part was made exactly the same as the others of it's type.Everything fit together quickly and well. By 1856, Sam Colt's factory was making 150 guns per day.
That Is What I Found On New Technology That Improved Productivity In The 1800s.
More mecheines to make more products
One invention from the 1800s is buggies since cars where not made yet people got around by a horse pulling a carriage the buggies where very transportational they could go on boats and cars and even trains.http://www.northwesthistoryexpress.com/timeline/transportation1800.php

one thing is the printing press by Johannes Gutenberg it made life easier because before he invented the printing press in 1440, books had to be copied by hand. This was a slow, painstaking process that could
take more than a year for each book, and the people copying them often made mistakes.

And then the cotton comes out through the other side.

one of my discovery was that the telephone was made in the 1800's.It made people faster, better, and easier because it help them find answer, talk to people across the world.
The arc lamp increased productivity because it helped you see so more people needed it to do night time activities and be able to see.
so they could make more books faster instead of rewrite them every time somebody wants a book
The seed planter has helped people be able to plant faster and more crops. Instead of digging the holes with there hands they dug some metal in the ground and just place a seed in the hole and start planting things easy.

It was invented in the first Industrial Revolution
http://www.ideafinder.com/history/inventions/sewmachine.htm

One invention is a toy ballon and it was invented by michale faraday.
wait sorry read that wrong one thing that changed the united states manufacture is um i would have to say the computers why because without computers we would still have to be writing on paper and we would not be typing and all that good stuff
the invention was i 1829 W.A Burt invented the typewriter it improved productivity. Because a lot of people can buy it so a lot of people wont have to write messages to other people ,they can just type it.
One technology in manufacturing that improved productivity of US in the early part of the 1800s is the typewriter, invented by an American, W.A. Burt in 1829. It improved the productivity because office use it more and faster paperwork is made, among with other things.

one invention that was made in the 1800s was the battery. it improved productivity because now it is useful for almost everything
The most important of the changes that brought about the Industrial Revolution were the invention of machines to do the work of hand tools; the use of steam, and later of other kinds of power, in place of the muscles of human beings and of animals; and the adoption of the factory system.

Samuel moore created the telegraph this was a very useful invention because it helped more with communication it was a non electric way to message / communicate with people i got my imforamation from http://inventors.about.com/od/tstartinventions/a/telegraph.htm
It occurred during the 1800s. They used machines to make cloth for clothing.it improved because it allows people to get more
in the 1800's there was the printing press was invented that made stuff faster and more efficient then by hand. http://library.thinkquest.org/16541/eng/learn/library/content/printing.htm
